The Comfortably Strange are a musical collaboration between songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Stephen Dawes and singer Katja Dreßler. The themes of their music are dark, sorrowful and melancholy. By combining 80's electronica and rock influences they create their own brand of alt rock; an ominous and highly atmospheric sound with similarities to groups such as Depeche Mode and Joy Division.
